Spinning lines connect the angler directly to the lure and determine casting distance, sensitivity and control during the fight. Braided line, monofilament and fluorocarbon each offer different stretch, visibility and abrasion resistance.

Braid, monofilament or fluorocarbon?

Braid offers high sensitivity and strength at a thin diameter. Monofilament is forgiving because it stretches, while fluorocarbon is abrasion-resistant and less visible underwater, making it useful as a leader.

Spooling and line maintenance

Fill the spool evenly without overfilling, check the first metres for damage and remove twisted or frayed sections. Rinse tackle after saltwater use and store line away from heat and sunlight.
