The 13 Fishing Descent Ice Reel Gen 2 is a user-friendly inline reel for vertical ice fishing. A push-button spool release sends the lure quickly to fishing depth, while the separate drop-speed adjustment lets the angler tune the spool to the weight of the lure. The integrated line window makes it easy to monitor line on the spool, and the inline layout helps reduce line twist compared with a conventional small spinning reel. This Aluminium version uses a precision-machined aluminium spool to help even lighter lures drop more freely and consistently. Its rigid composite frame has a soft-touch finish and works well with both pencil- and pistol-style rod grips. Five bearings, instant anti-reverse, a star-shaped drag adjustment, disc drag and a spool clicker provide smooth, controlled operation. The 2.7:1 gear ratio turns the spool 2.7 times per handle rotation, allowing the lure to be retrieved from depth at a practical speed.
