FAVORITE Blue Bird Compact BB1-804L-T is a 2.4 m spinning rod whose specifications clearly define its most suitable use. Blue Bird Compact retains the sensitive character of a micro-jig rod while its multi-piece compact construction makes it convenient for travel, car storage or use as a capable spare rod. The 2.4 m length provides a strong balance of casting distance and lure control, especially for versatile bank fishing. The 3–12 g casting range is the recommended total lure or rig weight. Inside this range the blank loads correctly, retains sensitivity and gives better lure control; the upper limit should not be exceeded. Fast action works mainly through the upper third of the rod. It is a strong compromise between sensitivity, hook-setting speed and fish control, suiting many active lure techniques. The tubular tip recovers quickly and handles a wider range of lure types, balancing sensitivity, casting performance and versatility. This model is best suited to light to medium jigging for perch and zander, plus smaller pike lures.
