FAVORITE U1 602H is a 1.83 m spinning rod in which length, casting range and action are balanced for a specific style of fishing. Favorite U1 rods use Skyflex 24T carbon blanks and guides with TiO2 inserts. The manufacturer emphasises a stiff, fast and practical design aimed primarily at soft plastics and jig heads. The 1.83 m length provides compact, precise handling from a boat, tight bank or during active lure work. The 12–36 g casting range is the recommended total lure or rig weight. Inside this range the blank loads correctly, retains sensitivity and gives better lure control; the upper limit should not be exceeded. Fast action works mainly through the upper third of the rod. It is a strong compromise between sensitivity, hook-setting speed and fish control, suiting many active lure techniques. This model is best suited to heavier jigging, larger hardbaits and powerful pike or zander fishing.
