VESK – GRIZZLY

High-concentration pepper spray for outdoor use

A professional, highly concentrated irritant spray device for repelling animals, based on oleoresin capsicum (OC). All VESK GRIZZLY series pepper sprays contain 2.64% major capsaicinoids, which corresponds to a sharpness level of 4,000,000 Scoville heat units of the extract used.

In addition, all VESK products are completely non-flammable. The product has been developed primarily for hunters, mushroom pickers, hikers, etc., who need fast-acting protection when encountering large wild animals.

The package sizes are selected according to the intended use. The smaller volumes (150/200 ml) are intended for continuous carrying, while the larger containers (400/750 ml) with pistol grip are for situations where the risk of attack is directly foreseeable.

Instructions for use

1. Hold the can firmly (by the pistol grip).
2. Remove the safety pin.
3. Point the spray towards the attacker’s face (eyes and nose).
4. Press the spray button and spray in short bursts.
5. Keep your distance – preferably up to 7 m.
6. After spraying, move away quickly and avoid the gas cloud.

⚠️ Important:

1. Do not spray against the wind.
2. Use only in emergency situations for self-defence.

Effect on the attacker

Pepper spray causes:

1. intense eye irritation and tearing
2. temporary impairment of vision
3. coughing and respiratory tract irritation
4. a burning sensation on the skin

The effect occurs immediately and usually lasts for 15–45 minutes.

First aid in case of exposure

If the gas comes into contact with a person:

Eyes:

1. rinse with plenty of water for 15 minutes
2. remove contact lenses
3. do not rub your eyes

Skin:

1. remove contaminated clothing
2. wash the skin with water and soap for 15–20 minutes
3. do not use creams or oils

General:

1. go out into the fresh air
2. if symptoms do not disappear within 45 minutes, seek medical attention
3. 
   

Safety and storage

1. The can is under pressure – do not puncture or burn.
2. Keep at a temperature of below 50 °C and away from direct sunlight.
3. Do not spray near open flames.
4. Keep out of reach of children.

Legality

1. In Estonia, pepper spray may be purchased and used from the age of 18.
