Proven worldwide! The hugely popular Zodias sits proudly within Shimano’s exclusive JDM range and is built for predator anglers who demand more from their gear. With its striking stealth-matt finish and unmistakable Japanese styling, this range unlocks endless possibilities for targeting pike, perch, zander and more with precision and confidence.

Originally designed and developed in Japan for bass fishing, the new Zodias has been further refined to deliver even greater performance for freshwater lure anglers across Europe. Instantly you’ll notice the improved balance and lighter feel in the hand, allowing you to fish longer and with more precision. From finesse presentations to power fishing with large lures, the Zodias offers versatility without compromise.

At the core of the Zodias range lies Shimano’s proven Hi-Power X carbon technology, which reduces blank twist, increases casting accuracy, and improves power transfer through the rod. This translates into longer, more controlled casts and precise lure presentation, even with light braids. It delivers powerful hooksets and control when casting large spinnerbaits and enhances accuracy and sensitivity for vertical jigging or long casts with softbaits. You’ll cast with confidence!

Every detail is crafted with the angler in mind. The lightweight CI4+ reel seat works seamlessly with the Carbon Monocoque grip to enhance sensitivity, enabling you to detect even the subtlest touches. Keeping the rod light in hand for long sessions, while ensuring secure reel fit and better feedback to transmit vibrations directly to your hand. Crucial for detecting subtle bites in deep or flowing water and perfect for finesse rigs like drop-shot or micro jigs. But evenly adding control when working twitchbaits or jerks more aggressively as well.

Finally, the matt-finished blank further reduces weight, while smaller Fuji Alconite guides with optimised spacing ensure balance, line protection, and trouble-free performance with thin diameter braids. Blending advanced design, crisp regular and fast actions, and cutting-edge carbon technology, Zodias delivers performance that far exceeds its mid-range price point.

Available in 4 Casting and 9 Spinning models, the range covers everything from finesse techniques for perch and zander, to power models designed for large lures targeting pike and asp. All rods are constructed in a 2-piece format, making them versatile, portable, and suitable for a wide variety of fishing situations.
