The Akara Action Vib AWAV-4 is a robust winter multiplier reel for vertical fishing, particularly with vibration lures, larger balance lures and vertical spoons. Its open 65 mm spool allows line lay to be monitored continuously, while the larger spool helps reduce line memory compared with a very small ice reel. A 2.3:1 gear ratio turns the spool 2.3 times per handle rotation; this moderate, torque-oriented ratio provides good control with heavier lures and stronger fish. The 3+1 bearing system supports smooth operation.
