SHIMANO Curado Casting Fast is a 2.18 m baitcasting rod in which length, casting range and action are balanced for a specific style of fishing. Shimano Curado rods use Hi-Power X blanks, lightweight CI4+ reel seats and Fuji FazLite guides, a combination designed for accurate casting, good sensitivity and dependable power with light to medium lures. The 2.18 m length provides good manoeuvrability and lure control, making the rod useful from both boat and bank. The 10.5–28.5 g casting range is the recommended total lure or rig weight. Inside this range the blank loads correctly, retains sensitivity and gives better lure control; the upper limit should not be exceeded. Fast action works mainly through the upper third of the rod. It is a strong compromise between sensitivity, hook-setting speed and fish control, suiting many active lure techniques. One-piece construction gives very direct power and vibration transfer, but needs more transport space. This model is best suited to versatile zander and pike fishing with jigs, wobblers and metal lures. A baitcasting rod is intended for a low-profile or round baitcasting reel; a spinning reel is not compatible with its trigger reel seat and guide layout.
