SHIMANO FX XT Spinning MODFAST is a 2.4 m spinning rod whose specifications clearly define its most suitable use. Shimano FX XT is an entry-level spinning rod with a durable composite blank and forgiving through action. Hardlite guides suit mono or braid, while the smoother bend reduces mistakes when casting and playing fish. The 2.4 m length provides a strong balance of casting distance and lure control, especially for versatile bank fishing. The 14–40 g casting range is the recommended total lure or rig weight. Inside this range the blank loads correctly, retains sensitivity and gives better lure control; the upper limit should not be exceeded. Moderate-fast action loads deeper than a fast rod. It produces smoother casts, keeps fish pinned more securely and works especially well with crankbaits, spoons and other moving lures. Two-piece construction is a strong compromise between natural rod action and manageable transport length. This model is best suited to heavier jigging, larger hardbaits and powerful pike or zander fishing.
