Product details

SHIMANO Sahara EVA is a 2.13 m spinning rod in which length, casting range and action are balanced for a specific style of fishing. Shimano Sahara uses a full-carbon blank with Diaflash reinforcement in the butt to reduce twist and improve power transfer. Fuji components, good balance and a responsive tip make it a versatile predator range. The 2.13 m length provides good manoeuvrability and lure control, making the rod useful from both boat and bank. The 3–14 g casting range is the recommended total lure or rig weight. Inside this range the blank loads correctly, retains sensitivity and gives better lure control; the upper limit should not be exceeded. Fast action works mainly through the upper third of the rod. It is a strong compromise between sensitivity, hook-setting speed and fish control, suiting many active lure techniques. Two-piece construction is a strong compromise between natural rod action and manageable transport length. This model is best suited to light to medium jigging for perch and zander, plus smaller pike lures.
